Clinical trials begin in laboratories and boardrooms around the world. None of it matters until research reaches a patient.

Hamilton Medical Research Group is that last mile — six practicing physicians, a nurse practitioner, and a dedicated clinical operations team conducting Phase II–IV trials from one site in Hamilton, Ontario.

Led by founder Dr. Richard Tytus, our investigators recruit from their own active family practices, giving sponsors a direct line to rapid, representative enrollment. Every trial is run to GCP, Health Canada, and FDA standards.

Investigator-led.
Sponsor-trusted.

HMRG partners with pharmaceutical sponsors and contract research organizations on Phase II–IV trials, managing the full site-level lifecycle — regulatory submissions, ethics applications, recruitment, clinical assessments, investigational product management, and close-out reconciliation. One team carries the protocol from feasibility to final query.

For Patients

New medicine,
familiar faces.

Most HMRG investigators are practicing family physicians — for many participants, the doctor running their study is one they already know. Every trial is reviewed by Health Canada and an independent ethics board, and explained in plain language before you decide anything.

Participation is voluntary and costs you nothing. Many studies also compensate you for time and travel.
